Xianghe Beiwutun: Booth Area Is Sure to Double Next Year Xianghe Beiwutun Metrologic Instrument Factory from Xianghe County, Hebei Province has slightly narrow booths in InterWEIGHING. The staff said they were bound to apply for four booths next year. Their booths at present were sort of shabby with so many foreign customers around. More foreign customers came here this year than the previous years, and it was sort of embarrassed to do business in such small area. Established in 1962, Hebei Xianghe Beiwutun Metrologic Instrument Factory, a senior weight manufacturer in Xianghe, Hebei, with the history of nearly half a century, manufactures the cast iron, stainless weights, special weights, stone rollers for daily use and weighing accessories of various specifications and shapes, which are widely used in institutes and offices of metrology and measurement, the electric power, harbors, the metallurgy, the coal industry, national key projects and weighing apparatus self-checking units all over the country. The staff said the brand escutcheon that the factory applies was still the old-fashioned wooden plaque in those days. Although plaques in various modernized materials are everywhere, they still prefer the old plaque full of vicissitudes, which concentrates the turbulent past of the company during over half a century. From a big collectively owned enterprise under the planned economic system to a small factory in the market economy today, the company has never changed its quality. The staff emphasized that not all factories in villages could put their names after the province name, but Beiwutun Metering Apparatus Factory can, and that’s the advantage. Beiwutun Metrologic Instrument Factory from Xianghe, Hebei, first participated in the InterWeighing2008 in Qingdao, and it had only one booth then but with good effect. After that, the factory participated in the exhibition every year. They indicated to apply for four booths so that they could show more products to customers instead of just photos. Besides, they also hoped to prolong the period of the exhibition so that people could have more time for in-depth communication.
