Changzhou Xudong: There is No Best, But Better

Changzhou Xudong Electronic Weighing Apparatus Co., Ltd. locates in Changzhou, a famous historic and cultural city in Yangtze River Delta. Changzhou Xudong has cutting-edge fine machining technology and superior modernized mechanical equipment. It produces dozens of series of weighing accessories in almost one hundred types that are well received by customers both at home and abroad. Changzhou Xudong keeps exploration, innovative operation and seeks for excellence in order to satisfy the market demand. Jiang Xudong, General Manager of the company, said that Changzhou Xudong first participated in the InterWEIGHING in 2003. It was the only manufacturer of load receptors in the country at that time. It was an OEM at first, and since it started independent production and operation in 2003, the corporate profits, along with dealers’ profits, has risen sharply. Frankly said by Jiang Xudong, without InterWEIGHING, it was really hard for a small-size enterprise to enter the market in such a short time. Exhibitions held in Shanghai in particular are with great effect. Shanghai is an international exhibition city with rich exhibition resources. The effect of the exhibition this year would be better if it weren’t affected by the “bird flu”.

Jiang Xudong said, on the exhibition this year, Changzhou Xudong made technical renovation and transformation to some types of old products and replaced the cast iron with wrought iron in manufacturing mechanical rods according to customers’ demands last year.

Jiang Xudong also said, there are more and more scale manufacturers, and it is obvious on the exhibition that all manufacturers have a lot of business. The weighing apparatus sector is the best in the measuring industry for its strong market demand. For the time being, the export rate of Xudong’s products reaches 80% with products sold in countries and regions in Europe, America and Southeast Asia. The biggest gain from the participation in the exhibition is to make many contacts and to display the corporate image. This platform provides many opportunities for enterprises, and is of great importance especially for some new enterprises. However, as for some nonstandard enterprises, the sponsor should set the threshold. The market competition is natural, but only with healthy competition and bottom lines can we develop the industry and our enterprises, can the weighing industry develop in a healthy and orderly way. Those inferior weighing apparatus shall not be allowed to flow into the market, otherwise they will endanger the people and the market.

Jiang Xudong expected China Weighing Instrument Association to take advantages of its authority to integrate favorable resources and eliminates the vicious competition in the industry, so that the weighing apparatus industry would develop in a healthy and orderly way. He also suggested that branches of the association should be set up in all provinces so as to guide prices for local enterprises, formulate covenant and market rules, so as to turn competitors into allies and make China’s weighing apparatus industry bigger.
