Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, dear friends,
Welcome to the 2025 China International Weighing Instrument Exhibition.
It is a great honour for me to deliver the opening speech at this prestigious event of the weighing industry. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the China Weighing Instrument Association for providing me with this unique opportunity.
This exhibition is remarkable for many reasons. It brings together manufacturers from the weighing and measurement industry, showcases the latest innovations in an inspiring way, and plays a vital role in global trade and commerce. Additionally, it serves as an important forum where industry leaders and future leaders can exchange and share experiences on the latest trends in industry and regulation in a collaborative atmosphere.
As President of the OIML, the International Organization of Legal Metrology, this event offers me an extraordinary opportunity to connect with members of the weighing industry, understand market developments, and address the needs of manufacturers. It is also a valuable setting for sharing the latest news on the OIML Certification system.
The weighing industry is a crucial stakeholder in the legal metrology universe and holds significant importance for OIML. Global cooperation between National Metrology Institutes, state authorities, the weighing industry, and OIML is key to fostering worldwide trade.
I commend the CWIA for hosting this exhibition and providing a platform for mutual benefit. I look forward to the next three days and wish the CWIA, all exhibitors, and visitors a successful, enjoyable, and inspiring InterWeighing 2025.
